The University of Fukui (UF) is a vibrant university, rooted in the region but open to the world, where students can study engineering, education, international community studies, and medicine. In particular, the Faculty of Engineering conducts cutting-edge research in a variety of fields, including renewable energy, environmental engineering, and materials science. Through collaboration with local companies and joint research with universities around the world, the University fosters future engineers who will connect the region and the world. The GEP for R&D and GEPIS programs are available completely in English, aiming to foster engineers with a global perspective. In addition, we have a support system that allows international students to study with peace of mind, such as providing Japanese language classes tailored to their Japanese language level.

Employment opportunities include automobile manufacturers, electronics manufacturers, and IT companies, and graduates are active in a wide range of fields at domestic and international companies and research institutes. UF maintains one of the highest employment rates among Japanese universities, and the majority of students find jobs of their choice after graduation.

Fukui is surrounded by beautiful nature, yet offers easy access to large cities, so students can enjoy a fulfilling student life in a quiet environment. In addition, the cost of living is relatively low compared to large cities, and multiple scholarship opportunities are available to help reduce financial burdens.
